I’m Vayy (aka Stephanie Yavelow) and creating music has been like my therapy since I was young. It’s helped me to stay in touch with hope during the darker times in life.

Silent concert walk “SENSES”

Currently I’m based in the Netherlands and have created a silent concert walk called "SENSES" together with Joshua Aaron (pianist) & Adriaan Stoop (drummer).

It takes place in forests and other special locations. Our vision is to create a shared experience where emotions are able to move freely and which encourages connectedness.

We feel inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi: the art of finding beauty in repairing what’s been broken.
This is traditionally done by mending broken ceramics with gold, and in our case, finding beauty in our emotional scars through music.

I’ve spent my professional life between the Netherlands & LA, recording in studios like Capitol Records, though most of my favorite work still happens in my own studio.

Thanks to an inspiring collaboration with producer Marc Dold (Norah Jones, Peter Gabriel, Nelly Furtado), my music and vocals can be heard in many (Netflix) shows, series, & games.

After receiving my MA in Music at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, I’ve picked teaching back up and am excited to help students connect to their voice and unique expression.
